BioAbout myself
My name is kate. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and I have been living here for all my life. I adore this city and
to my mind it's the most beatiful city in the world. I live with my family, which consists of 4 people -- my parents, my elder sister Julia and me. But my sister married about a month ago and now she doesn't live with us. Julia is a pretty girl, she is 21 and she is studing at the philological faculty of St-Petersburg State University. My parents are people of the middle age. They both are good specialists in French, of caurse they know English well too. Many years ago they both were translators and interpreters and travelled all over the world. Now my father works in the French bank named Kalyon and in free times he translates films, better to say makes the sinchronic translation. For example he translated such famous films as "Titanic", "Others", "Asterix and Obelix" and e.g. My mother is a specialist of French language, she has already written one dissertation, has translated a lot of books together with my father and she is a French teacher in the St-Petersburg State University.
As for me, I finished the English school №80 here and then I entered the Saint-Petersburg State University, the faculty of International Relationships.I decided to choose this University, because to my mind it's the mainest one in our city and tne best one, because the level of education is very high. As concerns the faculty, there are many reasons of such choice. Firstly it's my character: I'm very sociable, communicative and flexible person. It's necessary to have such features of character to become a diplomat..Secondly I have always been interested in the spheres like politics, languages, foreign countries and history, so this faculty, as I think, is the best way to realize my dreams concerning future work.
As concerns my hobbies, I'm very many-sided person and that's why I have a great variety of interests.It's very exciting for me just to walk in the parks or along the streets, but at the same time I like sitting in cafes and bars with my friends, discussing a lot of amusing things from books to space. I'm fond of reading very much and
read practically all kinds of good literature. Most of all phsycological dramas with elements of
philosophy are enjoyable for me. I don't like light reading very much and read such books very rarely.
I adore cinema and see films of practically all genres and time. I like some political TV programmes
and I'm really intersted in philosophy and in finding answers to key questions of our life, that's why
now the books and discoveries of russian famous scientist Ernst Muldashrev are very enjoyable for me.
Moreover speaking about my hobbies I can mention listening to music (practically all kinds), travelling
all over the world, dancing and e.g.
